Burn permits are available by calling dispatch at (507) 835-0500. You must have your Physical Adress along with Township number and Section number available. Permits do not currently expire and will be re-issued automatically each year and mailed to you. You must call in each and every burn in Waseca County. Depending on weather we may be in a burning ban and you may not be allowed to burn. If you burn during a burning ban, you may be subject to fines.
Can I burn garbage in Waseca County?
No. You cannot burn garbage in Waseca County. All residences within the cities and the county can contract for trash pickup and are no longer allowed to burn trash.
